We provide ambulatory services which include on-ranch herd work and individual animal therapy supported by in-clinic treatment and emergency care. Our clinic features both heated and ambient temperature stalls as well as haul-in facilities able to contain your animals. |

Will Oliver, DVM graduated from VA Tech with a Bachelor’s Degree in Animal Science. He received his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from VA-MD Regional College of Veterinary Medicine in 1994. Dr. Oliver practiced for five years in Nebraska and Montana as an associate veterinarian in mixed practice. In 1999 he opened Chuteside Veterinary Service as a practice focused on large animals. In his personal time, Will enjoys hunting, riding the backcountry horseback, pack trips and canoeing with his family. |
Heidi Oliver, Business Manager graduated from VA Tech with a Bachelor’s Degree in in Agricultural Economics. She also earned a Master’s of Business Administration. Heidi has been part of Chuteside since it opened in 1999. When not at work, she spends time with her children including their activities, riding in the backcountry, biking, listening to christian music and reading. |
Kristen Bailey, CVT received an Associate of Applied Science in Veterinary Technology from the College of Southern Idaho- Twin Falls and a Bachelor’s Degree in Animal Science from MSU- Bozeman. Kristen has worked as a Vet Tech at Chuteside Vet since 2003. In 2008, she became an UGC Certified Carcass Ultrasound Technician. Aside from work, Kristin likes spending time with her husband, Ryan and young son, Rowen. She is constantly improving her home and property and also enjoys helping out on their family ranch in Dell. |
Chelsey Petz, DVM graduated from Washington State University with her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine in 2012. Prior to attending vet school, Dr. Petz graduated from Montana State University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Biology and spent her summers fighting fires. Chelsey is glad to be back home in Montana and enjoys hiking and camping with her husband Justin and their dogs, Herbie and Crash. |
Jake Larsen, Vet Assistant Joining in 2012. Jake is a WSU Animal Science graduate with cattle AI experience and a student of natural horsemanship. Away from the clinic, he is a skilled artist and professional cattle fitter and showman. He enjoys hunting, fishing and most outdoor recreation. Jake and his wife Chesica live in Bozeman where Chesica is attending MSU. |
Kelly Rich, Vet Assistant Joining in 2013. Kelly is a vet assistant who started with us in the fall of 2013. She is a Montana State University graduate with a degree in Natural Resource Rangeland Ecology. Away from the clinic she runs a small in home baking business called ‘Rockin’ Heart K desserts’. She loves spending time on her family’s ranch in Seeley Lake, where they outfit into the Bob Marshal Wilderness. She spends her free time enjoying the outdoors with her boyfriend, family, friends, and pets. |
Whitney Carr , Vet Assistant Joining in 2013. Whitney is a vet assistant that started with us in January 2013. She graduated from Walla Walla Community College in June 2008 with an Associate’s Degree in Farrier Science. She began classes at Montana State University in September 2008 and graduated in May of 2012 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Equine Science and a business administrator minor. Whitney grew up in Alaska and has a daughter named Morgan who attends Three Forks Elementary. In her free time Whitney likes to do things with Morgan, shoe horses, bake, read and enjoy time outside. |
